Project Solution

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight focuses on many themes throughout the poem such as judgement, death, and justice. These themes are explored through visuals to further convey Sir Gawain’s future and the sins of dishonouring the knight’s moral code. Green is used throughout the publication as a strong visual way of presenting the Green Knight’s nature like presence throughout the poem.

This publication includes various illustrations such as the green battle axe and the green girdle as not only do they play an integral role in the narrative but also enhances the storytelling experience. Teasing the main character’s endgame through supporting ephemera such as tarot cards to predict Sir Gawain’s fate and A portrait of Sir Gawain himself which juxtapositions his noble side and his cowardness.
